William Galston (Ph.D. in Political Science, University of Chicago) is a Senior Fellow in Governance Studies at the Brookings Institution. Prior to joining Brookings in 2006, he was Saul Stern Professor in the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland and director of the Institute for Philosophy and Public Policy. Ruy Teixeira is a Senior Fellow at both the Center for American Progress and The Century Foundation, as well as a Fellow of the New Politics Institute. He has also held positions at the Economic Policy Institute, Brookings and the Progressive Policy Institute. He is the author or co-author of five books, including The Emerging Democratic Majority, America's Forgotten Majority: Why the White Working Class Still Matters and The Disappearing American Voter, as well as hundreds of articles, both scholarly and popular.
